About the blog

Hey!

In this blog, I want to give you an insight into my work as a content creator.

In this sense, I am a solopreneur in the process of setting up a start-up. Among other things, a Chromebook with ChromeOS will serve as the basis for this.

Journey

I purchased my first Chromebook in 2017. It was pretty cheap compared to some Windows laptops. I just wanted to test what Chrome OS was all about. To my surprise, I was immediately hooked. Despite the low price, it ran incredibly fast. While Chrome OS had fewer features at the time than it does today, it had the most important things you need as an average person at home. Simply great! πŸ˜‰

Since then, I’ve tested a wide variety of devices and kept trying new things. Web apps, Chrome apps, Android apps, and Linux apps. What’s exciting, though, is that you can do quite a bit with Chrome OS, and it’s as easy to use and set up as a new phone! Even advanced and professionals can do countless tasks with Linux apps, for example. But then, it can get a bit more complex in some cases. Even software developers now use Chromebooks as their work devices!

I like travelling the world non-stop and working remotely. Of course, I have a Chromebook or a tablet with Chrome OS with me. I want to use both privately, but also professionally for the creation of my digital content. So, I want to develop step by step to an even better Chrome OS expert and pass on my experience! You can benefit from that here, too! πŸ˜€

Digital content creation

My digital content is around ChromeOS, travel, and remote working on various channels. πŸ˜‰

In addition to my ChromeOS devices, I also have an Apple MacBook Air 13β€³ M1 running a Windows 11 VM via Parallels. On macOS, I edit some of my videos, photos, images, and designs to make them look professional. Even though I might do this entirely on ChromeOS professionally in the future, I need Windows and macOS to create some content describing how to switch from either system to ChromeOS. For comparisons, the same is true. πŸ™‚

However, Adobe announced Photoshop on the Web (Beta) at Adobe Max 2021. In other words, Adobe will be working with Google to optimize Photoshop for Chrome, and therefore Chromebooks. So, this is all not hot air! πŸ˜‰ There are already excellent alternatives to the Adobe Creative Cloud tools available on ChromeOS, but as I learned throughout the last years: professionals want to have the original, where they put so much effort in and couldn’t switch that easy from.

So yet, even I’m unable to create this content completely on ChromeOS. πŸ™‚

As a fan of Chrome OS, here’s how I plan to add value for personal and self-employed folks:

  • Blogs
  • Videos on YouTube
  • E-books
  • Courses on Udemy
  • T-shirt and sticker designs for merchandising

In this blog, I will discuss how this can be done in a variety of ways on Chrome OS.

My drive

I want to get you excited about creating digital content with Google’s ChromeOS and make your life easier when using it.

What’s in for you?

You can choose what interests you the most and benefit from the content, the community, and my experiences. πŸ˜‰

If you have any further questions about how you, as a content creator, can do certain things on ChromeOS, please feel free to ask! The community and I’ll help you!

So welcome to this blog! πŸ™‚
